Workshops
Overview of Motivational Interviewing: 1-2 hours

- Practice the OARS skills: Open ended questions, affirmations, reflections and summaries
- Learn the skill of Elicit-provide-elicit format for giving information
Complete Motivational Interviewing Training: 14-16 hours
- Complete MI training
- Learn and practice the core skills of MI to decrease ambivalence and support behavior change
- Demonstrate the Spirit of MI
- Learn complex reflections to manage client's sustain talk
Advanced MI Training: 4-6 hours
- Review and practice MI Spirit
- Strengthen core skills of MI
- Skills, coaching and feedback tailored to group specific cases
Feedback and Coaching
Skills focused feedback sessions: 30-60minutes
- In-person or via zoom.
- Can watch or listen to a recording with feedback.
MITI coding
- Receive a feedback email – trainer will listen to your session and provide written feedback.
In-vivo feedback:
- During a 30-minute role play either with the trainer alone, or with a dyad (coach and patient)
